Fall Semester is Set!
September 11, 2017
We will be starting the fall semester Monday, September 11 this year, the week following Labor Day. All returning students should bring their books and 3-ring binder at that time. All new students will receive their books at their first lesson, but should bring their own 3-ring binder. All tuition for the month of September, the semester's material fee, and any payment for books will be due at that time. All parents will need to sign the new studio policies form and social media release form, as well as filling out an information card for each student enrolled.
Reminder: All tuition for the month is due at the first lesson of every month. Also, please remember to add in any additional costs for new music. You will be informed of any of these new music charges well before tuition is due. If the first week of the month does not work for your family, please speak with me directly, and we can work out a solution. Both cash and checks are acceptable forms of payment.
New Curriculum Additions!
Starting this semester, we will be adding new music, activities, and games to every student's curriculum to encourage more creativity, better ear-training and sight-reading skills, and to inspire excitement about music. Because of this, each student will need to have a 3-ring binder to hold all their handouts and assignment sheets. Assignments will be given on standardized handouts with pieces, notes, and long-term goals all noted. I encourage every parent to read through their child's assignment page at least once during the week.
Annual Christmas Carols and Cookies Party
This year's Christmas recital and party will be held on Saturday, December 16th at 11am. The Remisoski's have once again graciously allowed us to use their home for this event. This year's theme will be "Christmas Around the World", and the students will be playing international Christmas songs, and we will discuss traditions from all over the world! Every student will be performing, but due to the size of the space, we ask that immediate family only attend this small event. This will be many beginner's first performance, and we want to support them with a low pressure environment.
